Melinda + Tyler Wedding
A love story ~
An orange 2012 Camaro was the center of the beginning of their relationship. Melinda really liked that car! Their first date consisted of Tyler cooking spaghetti for Melinda. How sweet is that? It wasn't long before Tyler was asking Melinda's dad for permission to marry her.
Their wedding day was just as sweet. It was a wonderful day filled with traditions, family, friends and lots of love. The ceremony was held at beautiful St. Therese Catholic Church in Woodsboro. Melinda and her bridal party had the entire Parish Hall to get dressed in. Good thing they had the entire hall because this bridal party was huge! Melinda had nine bridesmaids, a maid of honor, a matron of honor, two junior bridesmaids, three mini bridesmaids and two flower girls!!! Plus her sweet mother and new mother-in-love. It was a party! Melinda's gown was tucked away in a locked room. Only her mother, her sister and one of her bridesmaids had seen the gown. When I went in to take pictures of it, this Casabanca gown took my breath away. It was a strapless gown with Swarovski Crystal sequins, pearls, and beadwork all over. She added a beautiful bridal belt to flatter her small waist. And no traditional bridal heels for this bride! No - she had some completely blinged out Converse tennis shoes! A bride after my own heart! All the bridesmaids also wore gray Converse tennis shoes. No one had to complain about their feet hurting at this wedding!
The first look from her bridal party was filled with ooos and ahhh's. Melinda has such a generous heart and had gifts for everyone. But the real moment was when her dad walked in. She handed him his gift and he was overcome with emotion. I love a moment between a bride and her daddy.
The Catholic wedding was filled with tradition but also contained laughter and joy from everyone. I'm smiling as I edit the ceremony pictures because not only did I catch sweet, romantic moments between the couple, I also captured moments with large smiles and outright laughter! These are the moments that make me truly love what I do. And props to Melinda & Tyler for the best first kiss!!
The reception was at the Refugio County Community Center. The hall was transformed into a vintage and timeless venue with gold, pale pink and green accents and strings of pearls everywhere. The creamy and dreamy wedding cake was beautiful (and delicious!) and the groom's cake reflected the couple's love of sports being orange & blue on one side with ASTROS on it and white & blue on the other side with COWBOYS on it. Too Cute!
The couple was surprised with lively mariachi's which made this reception so festive and fun. But the best part of the night when two of the bridesmaids rapped a song to the bride and groom. It was hilarious!
The night was filled with dancing, romance, family, love and fun. Melinda & Tyler - you are magnetic and obviously keep your family and friends close. Your easy love for one another made everyone around you (including me) feel like they were in the presence of an epic love story. I left your reception with a piece of cake and a warm heart. I am beyond honored that you asked me to document your precious day. I will be watching ya'll on Facebook to see what your future holds!!
Thank you for choosing me!
