Mansion by the Sea | David + Megan Engagement Session
David & Megan are high school sweethearts. They have been together since Megan was in 9th grade and David was in 10th grade. Last year David & Megan took a trip to Austin and he kept telling her there was a noise in the back tire. When they finally arrived he told her they needed to check the tire because he was sure there must be a rock in it. When Megan looked at the tire, she found the rock - sneaky David had placed her gorgeous, sparkling engagement ring on the rim. Of course she said yes!!!
Megan and David 's engagement photo session was nothing short of fabulous. The two of them are so darn good looking. Megan was sheer perfection, her makeup applied by Bang Cut Beauty by Celine Lane was flawless. I could photograph her all day long! And David - well....those eyes!!! And the fun doesn't stop with them - their baby boy Corbin stole the show all day long. His big toothless grin and sweet disposition made me want another grandbaby!!
Megan had arranged for the photo session to be held at Mansion by the Sea in Aransas Pass. This place is so beautiful and the owners are so nice accommodating. The owner's name is Tiare - and she is just as exotic and beautiful as her name. She is from Tahiti. She was so friendly and kind. Mansion by the Sea is a wedding venue and this right on the water with its own private beach. When you first walk in, the first thing you encounter to your left is a huge cage with lemurs. They can go from being cute like a monkey to making skin-crawling screeching noises. I'm not sure if I like them or not! The noises they made scared the bejeezus out of me every single time!!! But they certainly add to the tropical nature and charm of the venue. There is a huge deck with a large sail boat in the water which makes a beautiful backdrop. I'm sure having a wedding here is awesome!
We arrived at the venue around 4:30 or so. The sun was beautiful as it slowly set. But I'm not gonna lie - it was kinda cold! Poor Megan - she was stunning in the outfits she brought but she was almost at the goose-bump stage. But she was a trooper and we got some great shots that I am very pleased with.
We ended the evening with dinner at Moondog in Rockport. I want to give a special thanks to Megan's mom Clarissa who was there to help take care of that cutie Corbin so mom and dad could pose all they wanted.
Thank you Megan & David for trusting me with your memories. I can't wait for your wedding!
