Marilyn's 30th Birthday Party - Old Hollywood Glam
If you follow me at all, you know Marilyn. When you see the picture, you will certainly recognize her by some of her prior photo shoots. Together we have taken her Bridal, Bridal Boudoir & Wedding photos. We have also done some fun photo shoots together like the Superhero Boudoir Series and Once Upon a Time project. Every time I am around her I want to come up with another photo project just for an excuse to photograph that long red hair and those gorgous green eyes!
Her new hubby Aaron planned a killer birthday party. The theme was Old Hollywood Glam. It was like a mini wedding reunion with many of her wedding party in attendance. It was so fun to see everyone again. Also in attendance were some of the same vendors from her wedding - La Mirage decorated for the party. As always, she did a fantastic job - it was so elegant and beautiful. Lots of huge white feathers, pearls and gold accents. Aaron also did a lot of work adding to the decor with the red carpets and life size Marilyn Monroe cut outs. Werners Catering provided the food - delicious by the way. There were beef tips, mashed potatos, squash casserole, rice pilaf and rolls. Yum. Marilyn looked gorgeous after having her hair and make up done by Yurim Cabrera Make up Artistry. And yours truly was the photographer.
Photographing was a blast and a breeze. Karyn from La Mirage set up a great backdrop for everyone to pose in front of. It had the old Hollywood feel with huge feathers, pearls and lots of bling. Many of the girls were all dressed up in gorgeous dresses, feather bling headbands, pearls and gloves and were happy to ham it up in front of the camera. The guys looked good too - wearing hats, suspenders, bow ties etc. We did lots of photos in front of the backdrop but the best photos were taken from a corner as everyone laughed, drank and had a great time.
Marilyn is definitely a bride turned friend. When I'm around her I feel so comfortable - like we've know each other forever. In reality we have only known each other a few months but we have had long conversations and I have got to know her well. I am so very grateful for her business but most importantly for her friendship. Happy 30th Birthday Marilyn - I wish you many, many, many more!
