Wedding Chat with Sande - The Minimalist Wedding Dress
I have told you I love wedding dresses. Especially lace wedding dresses. With some bling added. But that is not for everyone ~ especially not a minimalist bride.
The definition of minimalist is to be spare or stripped to its essentials. When I think of a minimalist bridal gown, I am immediately reminded of the wedding of John F. Kennedy, Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, pictured below. Carolyn's dress was designed by Narciso Rodriguez and is the perfect example of a minimalist wedding dress.
According to Wedding Wire, wedding dresses do not need to be all frills and lace. Some brides prefer a 'less is more' approach to their dream wedding dress. I read about designer Lyndsey Butler, a Texas girl, who has launched the Locke Bridal Collection and all gowns are under $600! Google it to check it out.
Although I prefer the beautiful details in a wedding dress, I can certainly see a bride in this type dress, with boho styled long hair and bare feet. Sounds organic and heavenly doesn't it?
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy looks stunning doesn't she? She was such a classic beauty and didn't need another single accessory. Perfection.
